Health Careers Summer Camp
(Below is an example of the Summer Camps)
Gateway Community & Technical College along with the North Central Area Health Education Center (NC AHEC) have joined together to offer a health career summer camp. The purpose of the camp is to introduce high school students to the wide variety of careers available in healthcare.
Only accepted students will be notified and given additional camp instructions.
If we receive authorization to job shadow at St. Elizabeth, up to date immunizations and a TB test will be required to participate.
IMPORTANT NOTE BEFORE FILLING OUT THE SUMMER CAMP APPLICATION
1) You must provide a working email and one that is checked frequently to receive all the communications about the camp.
2) Be prepared to write a personal statement about why you are interested in a health career. Once you fill out the form and write your essay, you are ready to submit your application. No more than 150 words.
3) Microsoft Forms, does not have a SAVE your WORK and RETURN to it later feature. The entire application must be completed before submitting the document.

- Students will participate in hands-on activities related to health careers
- Learn about Job Shadowing and Volunteering opportunities at St. Elizabeth
- Will learn basic job duties of health care workers
- Earn Basic Life Support (BLS) Certificate
- Space is limited to 30 students!
